New Delhi: Indian army helicopter crashed, pilot killed

An Indian army helicopter crashed in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, as a result of which one pilot was killed and another was injured.

According to the report of Indian media, an accident happened to the Cheetah helicopter of the Indian Army on Wednesday where the helicopter crashed near Taung in Arunachal Pradesh, as a result of which the pilot was killed.

According to the Indian military authorities, the cause of the helicopter accident has not been revealed immediately, but investigations have been started in this regard.

A statement released by the Indian Army said that the Cheetah helicopter of Army Aviation crashed during a routine flight on October 5 in the forward area near Tawang.

Both the pilots were rushed to a nearby military hospital, Lt Col Saurabh Yadav succumbed to his injuries while the co-pilot is undergoing treatment, the statement said.
