The film Damsel, a Netflix production, will be shot in Portugal on May 19 and 20.
The filming will take place in the Batalha Monastery, in Leiria, in the Cristo de Tomar Convent and in a town in the municipality of Guarda.

It is already confirmed: the film Damsel, a Netflix production, will be shot in three different locations in Portugal. The Batalha Monastery is one of the chosen locations and on May 19 and 20 it will be closed to the public so that filming can take place.
Speaking to CNN Portugal, the director of the monastery, Joaquim Ruivo, said that the presence of a Netflix production in the place “in addition to helping to project the image of the Batalha Monastery, is important for the local economy of the town of Batalha. , especially after two years of pandemic that were very difficult; and it is also important for the film industry in Portugal”.
Later, the production moves to Tomar, more specifically to the Convent of Christ, where it will shoot for five days. The town of Sortelha, in the district of Guarda, will be the last place in Portugal where the film Damsel will be shot.
