Netflix launches its Android games service at no additional cost

We first heard about Netflix’s potential foray into the gaming market in May 2021.

The rumors resurfaced in July, but suggesting that the plans were for 2022. A week later, Netflix itself confirmed the reports and announced that, in fact, you are entering the game space and that your service would have no additional cost.

Now the company has started testing its Android gaming service in Poland.

As revealed by the Twitter account of Netflix Poland, the company launched its gaming service in the country. At the moment, it only has two games: Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game.

The titles make sense as they belong to Netflix’s Stranger Things series and are already available on the Google Play Store.

As you can see from the images, the titles will be displayed in the Netflix app, which will basically act as an installer. Once the game is downloaded from the Play Store, it can be launched directly from the Netflix app.

It is important to pay attention Stranger Things 3: the game It costs $9.99 on the Google Play Store. However, if you are a Netflix subscriber, you can download both games for free. Netflix has confirmed that there will be no ads or in-app purchases for any games on its service.

The company also stated that this is only its first step. It’s not clear when the service will launch in more countries and platforms.
