Netflix today announced that it will incorporate Spatial audio support to some programs.
With this, the company joins Apple TV+ and other streaming services that already offer this immersive audio experience.
Netflix has partnered with Sennheiser to bring this new experience to its customers. series like The Adam Project s strange things 4 they are now compatible with Spatial Audio.
Netflix says spatial audio technology “This helps bring the cinematic experience of immersive audio to any stereo, so that the creators’ work to draw you into the story happens, no matter what device you use to watch Netflix.”
To find out which programs currently support this feature, just type “spatial audio” into the search bar. This feature joins 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos and Netflix calibrated mode.
To experience spatial audio on Apple devices, you need to set the streaming quality to High or Auto and use these devices:
- iPhone 7 and later with iOS 15.1 or later
- iPad Air 3rd generation and later running iPadOS 15.1 or later
- iPad mini 5th generation and later with iPadOS 15.1 or later
- iPad Pro 3rd generation and later with iPadOS 15.1 or later
- Apple TV 4K and later with tvOS 15 or higher
- 3rd generation AirPods
- AirPods Pro
- AirPods Max
