A private commercial helicopter has gone missing near Mount Everest in Nepal, with 6 people on board, including 5 foreigners.
According to Indian media, the private commercial helicopter was on its way from Solukhumbu to Kathmandu, with 5 foreigners on board, identified as Mexican nationals.
Officials said the helicopter lost contact around 10 a.m. on Tuesday and disappeared from radar at 10:12 a.m. (local time).
Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Manager and Information Officer said that the helicopter was on its way to Kathmandu from Solukhumbu and lost contact with the control tower around 10 am. But suddenly the connection is broken.
On the other hand, according to Himalayan Times, the captain of the private plane is Senior Captain Chet B. Gurung, the helicopter is out of contact, there is no contact with the tower, the last time the helicopter received only a ‘hello’ message from its Viber.
