Nehuén, near Udinese

The future of Nehuén Pérez, 21, seems far from Atlético, as noted in Italy. The Argentine defender is close to leaving on loan to Udinese, Italian club in Serie A. Nehuén, however, continues to train under Simeone’s orders, although the next few hours could be decisive for the footballer’s departure.

Simeone wants to have five centrals in the squad. He has Savic, Giménez, Felipe and Hermoso, but when playing with a system of three center-backs and two lanes, it comes in handy to have one more footballer in this position. Nehuén was the chosen one. Without liking Simeone too much, he is the best option at Atlético. But it could go to Italy. In Champions Savic is suspended with four games. In the preseason friendly match against Feyenoord, the rojblanco coach placed Kondogbia in the center-back position and could be an eventual solution to possible emergencies.

Nehuén Pérez played last season on loan at Granada and it seems that this time it could happen the same. The Argentine occupies an extra-community position. Atlético could use it in the case of needing a transfer. It could affect the issue of the center forward. Berta dreams of Vlahovic, but she also likes Maxi Gómez, from Valencia, a player who does occupy an extra-community place. Maxi has been in the sights of Atlético on previous occasions.
