Neha Dhupia was kicked out of projects due to pregnancy, the actress now expressed her pain

Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia is a well-known actress in the industry. Currently, she is making headlines for her recently released movie ‘A Thursday’. Yami Gautam is seen in the lead role of this film, while Neha also plays the role of a pregnant police officer. During the promotion of the movie, Ella Neha has revealed that when she was pregnant in real life, she got kicked out of some movies.

Speaking to the English website India.com, Neha recounted that during her first pregnancy she had to miss out on some projects. The actress herself said: ‘I had to create work at the time of Meher. I made my own podcasts and other non-fiction TV shows myself. I was doing all of this myself because being pregnant was not a problem. I worked until the last minute, but the film industry changes. I was part of some projects before announcing my pregnancy… have I been kicked out of those projects? Yeah… I got fired. Was there something wrong with that? Physical changes happen and then you don’t want to play that character or the people who hired you don’t want you to look like that… so be it!

Speaking about the casting of A Thursday, the actress said: ‘I lost all the projects in the middle of the second wave (COVID-19). This was really my last try. I went to the meeting and told him ‘I’m five months pregnant. What do you want to do? Do you want to keep me or replace me? This is your choice, this is your movie. There were some guys sitting in a group. They didn’t take a minute to say ‘we don’t want to change you’.

Speaking of the film, ‘On Thursday’ has not been released in theaters but on the Disney Plus Hot Star OTT platform. Yami Gautam plays the role of a teacher in this film. Those who make 16 children are linked and then maintain demands from money to talking to PM.
