Neena Gupta shared this fun tidbit during a recent chat with IANS. She was talking alongside Chandan Kumar, one of the show’s writers. They were mostly discussing the recently aired fourth season. But the conversation naturally turned to what’s next for the folks in Phulera village.
Neena Gupta mentioned how excited fans were for “Panchayat 4.” Everyone wanted to know three big things. First, who would win the election? Second, how far would Secretary ji and Rinki ji’s love story go? And third, would Secretary ji finally pass his big exam? These questions helped make the fourth season really great. Then, with a chuckle, she let it out: “The script for the new season has already leaked!”
Chandan Kumar chimed in, adding another question that kept fans guessing. “Who shot Pradhan ji?” he asked. He believes these cliffhangers made Season 4 a huge hit. He also shared that he started writing Season 4 well before Season 3 even came out. In fact, a big chunk of the script for the fourth season was finished by the time the third one premiered. He confirmed they were on set to film Season 4 right after the monsoon season.
