NBA Takes Disciplinary Action Against Players and Coaches

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has taken disciplinary action against several players and coaches following a fight that broke out during a game between the Houston Rockets and the Miami Heat on December 29.

Sanctions and Fines

Amen Thompson has been suspended for two games, while Terry Rozier will serve a one-game suspension. In addition to the suspensions, several players and coaches have been fined for their involvement in the altercation.

Jalen Green of the Rockets has been fined $35,000, while Tyler Herro of the Heat will have to pay $25,000. Ime Udoka, the coach of the Rockets, has been fined $50,000 for using abusive language.

The Incident

The fight occurred with 35.7 seconds left in the fourth quarter, when Amen Thompson and Tyler Herro got into a physical altercation. The situation quickly escalated, with players and coaches from both teams getting involved.

After a brief period of chaos, the referees were able to restore order and calm the situation. The game resumed, with the Heat ultimately emerging victorious with a 104-100 win.

Expulsions and Game Statistics

Several players and coaches were ejected from the game as a result of the altercation. These included Tyler Herro, Amen Thompson, Jalen Green, Ime Udoka, and Ben Sullivan from the Rockets, as well as Terry Rozier from the Heat.

Despite being ejected, Tyler Herro had a standout performance in the game, scoring 27 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out nine assists.
