Concern for Jaden Ivey’s Health After Suffering a Serious Injury
Jaden Ivey, a 22-year-old player for the Detroit Pistons, was forced to leave the game against the Orlando Magic on a stretcher due to a severe injury that appeared to affect his knee.
The incident occurred when Cole Anthony from the opposing team accidentally collided with Ivey’s left knee while attempting to gain possession of the ball with ten minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. At the time, the Pistons were leading 84-79.
Although the collision was unintentional, Ivey was left lying on the ground in visible pain and required assistance from the Pistons’ medical staff.
Players from both teams gathered around Ivey, including Cole Anthony, who was visibly distraught and tearful over the injury he had inadvertently caused to his opponent.
Ivey has been averaging 17.6 points per game this season with the Pistons.
The game ultimately ended in a 105-96 victory for the Detroit Pistons.
