The NBA Skills Challenge (known in English as Skills Challenge) began at All-Star Weekend in 2003. It is a contest for players who handle the ball well. It consists of an exercise in which, in the shortest possible time, you must dribble obstacles, score some baskets and make a direct pass and a chopped pass that are validated if the ball goes through both hoops.s. Players must abide by the basic basketball rules of ball handling. Of the four players who compete, the two with the best time move on to the next round, where both perform the same test in order to choose the winner.

Participants and changes to the 2023 format
This contest will have the same format as last year. It will be, again, 3 teams of 3 players who will face each other to determine the champion. The Antetokounmpos will repeat their presence at the eventwhile this year Team Jazz is joined by Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton, as well as Team Rooks made up of Paolo Banchero, Jaden Ivey and Jabari Smith Jr.
