Nawazuddin Siddiqui Reveals He Worked as Dialogue Coach for Kamal Haasan’s Film
Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has shared a surprising revelation about his work with legendary actor Kamal Haasan. In an interview with Filmfare, Siddiqui revealed that he not only worked as an actor in Haasan’s film but also as a dialogue coach.
Nawazuddin’s Journey as Dialogue Coach
Siddiqui worked as a dialogue coach for Haasan’s 2001 film "Aalavandhan" (also known as "Abhay" in Hindi). He was approached by a senior from the National School of Drama (NSD) to work on the Hindi dialogues of the film. Siddiqui was proud to have worked with Haasan and admired his dedication to his craft.
A Humbling Experience
Siddiqui shared an anecdote about his experience working with Haasan, where he was asked to perform a speech from Tughlaq in 10 different ways. Although he was confident he could do it in 3-4 ways, Haasan was able to do it with ease, showcasing his incredible acting skills.
A Lesson Learned
Siddiqui also spoke about his experience working on Haasan’s film "Hey Ram", where his scenes were cut at the last minute. Although he was initially devastated, he learned a valuable lesson about the unpredictability of the film industry.
Nawazuddin’s Upcoming Projects
Siddiqui is set to appear in several upcoming films, including "Oil Kumar", "Adbhut", "Noorani Chehra", and "Sangeen". Despite his busy schedule, he continues to admire Haasan’s work and is grateful for the opportunities he had to work with him.
