The buzz around a potential sequel to Salman Khan’s 2015 blockbuster “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has been gaining momentum, especially after the film’s writer, V Vijayendra Prasad, was spotted meeting the actor recently. Now, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who played the memorable character of Chand Nawab, a Pakistani reporter, in the original film, has weighed in on the possibility of reprising his role in the sequel.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui on Bajrangi Bhaijaan Sequel
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Nawazuddin Siddiqui expressed his thoughts on being cast in the potential sequel. He stated that he’s unaware of any plans for a sequel and that the decision to include him in the project rests with the makers. “I don’t know if there’s a sequel in the making. Whether I’m cast or not is up to the filmmakers. I’m not in a position to say that since I was in it before, I should be in it again. That’s not how it works. If they need me, we’ll be there.”
Gangs of Wasseypur 3 Update
The conversation also touched upon the cult Bollywood film “Gangs of Wasseypur” and the possibility of a third installment. When asked about potentially being part of it, Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed that the film is unlikely to be made. “The film won’t happen. Anurag Kashyap himself doesn’t want to make it. What’s great about Anurag is that he doesn’t get stuck in the past. He’s someone who believes that what’s done is done, and it’s time to move on.”
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character, Faizal Khan, in “Gangs of Wasseypur” (2012) was the son of Sardar Khan, played by Manoj Bajpayee. The film was released in two parts and has since become a cult classic.
