Tati Gabrielle, star of Naughty Dog’s upcoming game “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet”, has opened up about the backlash she’s faced online. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she revealed that she’s received a mix of love and hate due to her identity as a woman, a black woman, and someone with a shaved head.
She said she’s not active on social media to avoid the negativity. However, when she found out about the hate, Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog’s president, reassured her that they would focus on creating something great together.
Preparing for Backlash
Druckmann has been preparing Gabrielle for potential backlash by sharing his own experiences and those of other Naughty Dog actors, such as Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson. Laura Bailey, who faced intense hate for her role as Abby in The Last of Us Part II, is another example. Gabrielle feels at home with Naughty Dog and is excited to be part of their “family.”
The release date for “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet” has not been announced yet. We will keep you updated on any new developments.
