On Monday, January 8th, the American company United Launch Alliance (ULA) started from Florida new Vulcan Centaur rocket with the Peregrine module loaded with instruments POT to analyze the surface of the moon.
The launch took place as planned at 2:20 a.m. local time (7:20 GMT) from Cape Canaveral Space Force's Space Launch Complex 41 in central Florida.
If it reaches the satellite alone, the Peregrine becomes the first American module to reach the lunar surface in more than 50 years.
