Muzammil Ibrahim is a name that’s got everyone talking in Bollywood. The actor recently made headlines when he claimed to have dated none other than Deepika Padukone in the early days of their careers. But who is Muzammil Ibrahim, and what’s his story?
Born on August 25, 1986, in Srinagar, Muzammil is a national swimming champion, model, and actor. He’s also a recipient of the President’s bravery award, not once but twice. The first award came when he was just 8 years old for saving a life, and the second was in 2009 for rescuing an elderly woman in Goa.
Muzammil’s journey in the entertainment industry began when he won the Gladrags Manhunt India contest in 2003. He was studying mechanical engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi at the time. After winning the contest, he moved to Mumbai with his family and started modeling. He even won the ‘Best Male Model’ award by GQ.
Muzammil made his Bollywood debut in 2007 with Pooja Bhatt’s film “Dhoka,” where he received critical acclaim. Although the film didn’t do well at the box office, Muzammil’s performance was noticed.
