The final match of Ranji Trophy 2022 is played between Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Choosing to bat after winning the toss, Mumbai went 248 for five late in the first day’s game.

The starter Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the highest 78 runs for Mumbai. In turn, Sarfaraz, who scored the longest streak of the tournament, also showed rhythm in the title match. He came back undefeated in the 40th. Apart from this, Anubhav Agarwal and Sarshan Jain took two wickets each for Madhya Pradesh. On the other hand, Kumar Karthikeya got a hit.

After going to Mumbai in the first session of the first day of the Ranji Trophy final, Madhya Pradesh came back in the second session with three wickets and cut the 41-time champions to 201/4 in 64 overs to tea.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the highest 78 runs for Mumbai. 103/1 after lunch, Mumbai started play and lost their second wicket soon after when Kumar Karthikeya Singh caught Armaan Jaffer on a slow pitch. Jaiswal completed his fifty with a single to the middle of the wicket. At the same time, Suved Parkar (18) also went to the Saransh Jain ball.

Jaiswal meanwhile thrashed Gaurav Yadav for three fours in one over, but for the third time this season, Mumbai lost a wicket against late in the game when Jaiswal (78) was dismissed after playing a poor Anubhav shot.
