The Indian Premier League has reached its climax. Punjab Kings will face off against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.
The qualifier-2 match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians was intense. Mumbai Indians set a target of 204 runs for Punjab Kings.
Punjab’s batsmen took the target head-on. Mumbai Indians’ owner Nita Ambani was at the stadium with her son Akash and daughter-in-law Shloka. Nita Ambani was seen holding her head in frustration as the match slipped away from Mumbai.
Shreyas Iyer played a match-winning innings for Punjab. In the last over, Mumbai’s hopes of a comeback were dashed. Jasprit Bumrah failed to take any wickets, and Punjab sealed the win.
Nita Ambani had earlier celebrated Mumbai Indians’ entry into the playoffs by showing six fingers, indicating the team’s sixth IPL trophy. But after the loss, her smile faded. Punjab Kings will now face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final on June 1.
