Mulueberhan wins the last stage and the general classification

the eritrean Henok Mulueberhan (Green Project) won the last leg of the Rwanda tour, which also helped win the general classification.

Mulueberhan had the same time as the Italian Walter Calzoni (Q36.5 Pro Cycling) so he everything was going to be decided in the last stage, a circuit with start and finish at Canal Olympia with 75.3 kilometers and a cumulative drop of 1,885 meters with up to six climbs, which was resolved by sprinting.

Mulueberhan was the fastest and although Calzoni was fifth in the stage with the same time, he could only certify his second place overall.

The Spanish Víctor de La parte (Totalenergies) was third in the stage and finished fourth overall 4 seconds behind the Eritrean cyclist.

The Rwandan president, Paul Kagame, was in charge of putting the winner’s jersey of the tour on Mulueberhan, who a month ago was proclaimed African road champion.
