Mukesh Kumar could become a future star for India, debuting in all three formats on the same tour

It can be said that this recent tour of the West Indies is very memorable for Team India’s fast bowler Mukesh Kumar. This tour gave Mukesh a chance to make his international debut for the Indian team in all three formats. After debuting in the second game of the 2-game Test series, Mukesh got the chance to play in all three games of the ODI series and now he got the chance to play in the first game of the 5-game T20 series.

Mukesh becomes the second player in Indian cricket history to have the opportunity to debut in the series in all three formats on the same tour. Previously, T. Natarajan made his international debut in the series of all three formats during the Indian team’s 2020-21 tour of Australia. Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Gopalganj in Bihar, made his debut in first-class cricket with the Bengal team.

A consistent performer in domestic cricket, Mukesh Kumar is considered an expert at disconcerting batsmen with the momentum and speed of his balls. The way Mukesh bowled in all three games of the Test and ODI series has since emerged as a great option for Team India going forward.

The Indian team will get a chance to play against the 50-over format earlier in the Asian Cup. In this tournament, Team India is expected to play with its three main fast bowlers Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah. In such a situation, if Mukesh Kumar continues his excellent performance in the T20 series as well, he can cement his claim as the fourth fast bowler on the Asian Cup team.
