Muhammad Ali’s grandson shines in MMA

The last name Ali continues to ring in contact sports. Biaggio Ali Walsh (24 years old), grandson of Muhammad Ali, has debuted in the Professional Fighters League (PFL), a professional mixed martial arts league in the United States, with an impressive KO in the first round. It’s still an amateur, but the PFL is one of the best companies to make the jump to the UFC.

His fight was in the spotlight, something normal when you are the grandson of the most recognized fighter in boxing history. Biaggio Ali Walsh made his PFL debut and did it in the best possible way. It only took him 45 seconds to knock out Tom Graesser in the first round. Ali came out strong, putting pressure on his rival, and with his striking he sent him to the ground. He was far superior to Graesser in landing combinations, until he dropped him with a hard right hand. “Expectations make me work harder. I must redouble the effort to achieve them, ”Ali declared before going up to the octagon. He has played three fights: two victories by KO and one defeat. The numbers invite optimism.

Before MMA, Baggio Ali turned to American football and modeling. Leaving this sport, he decided to try contact sports and opted for mixed martial arts. His brother Nico always preferred boxing. He remains undefeated with 7 victories, 5 of them by KO. He debuted in August 2021 by TKO in the first round against Jordan Weeks at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, United States. He did it with the shorts his grandfather gave him.
