Vaibhav Suryavanshi is making waves in the IPL 2025, becoming the youngest player in the tournament’s history at just 14 years old, playing for Rajasthan Royals.
A Meeting of Legends
After Rajasthan Royals’ match against Chennai Super Kings, Vaibhav met MS Dhoni and touched his feet. The two had a conversation, and Dhoni praised Vaibhav’s mature batting style, saying, “You have a baby in your team who’s playing like a mature player.” Vaibhav also met Virat Kohli after the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Kohli, who scored 70 runs in that match, gave Vaibhav some batting tips and advice on staying grounded and humble.
Rajasthan Royals team manager Romi Bhindar shared that Vaibhav met Dhoni again after their next match and will meet him again in the upcoming match. Bhindar noted that Vaibhav and Dhoni share similar qualities – they are calm but play aggressive cricket.
Breaking Records
Vaibhav has achieved something big. He broke Yousuf Pathan’s 15-year-old record by scoring a century in just 35 balls, making him the fastest Indian batsman to achieve this feat in IPL history.
Some fans praised Vaibhav’s achievement on social media. One user said, “This is what Dhoni’s blessing does to a boy.” The Indian Premier League’s official Twitter account also highlighted Vaibhav’s records, calling him to “take a bow.”
