Movistar Team returns to Australia

The team of Movistar Team posted this morning line-up for the 23rd edition of the Tour Down UnderWhat will be celebrated in Australia after the break that he has suffered due to the pandemic. A test that goes back to top flight calendar with numerous changes compared to the previous ones.

The seven selected for the club have been: Óscar Rodríguez, Gorza Izagirre, Johan Jacobs, Lluís Mas, Imanol Erviti, Sergio Samitier, and as a novelty the young man, and recently promoted to the highest category, Ivan Romeo.

Among the changes that this competition has undergone, is the Schwalbe Classic criterium, that although it is not scoring for the general, it is disputed, for the first time, three days before the official start Of the test.

For the first time, too, the Tour Down Under will have a CRI. The first day, Tuesday January 17, will take place in central Adelaide a 5.5 kilometer time trial that will be held with road bikes.

After this CRI, the remaining five stages that complete the test. There will be two sprints, in Tanunda and Víctor Habor, Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 respectively. These two are sprints ‘standard’, however, and on Saturday 21, an ‘uphill’ para more explosive men on Lower Willunga Hill.

The other two days, Friday the 20th and Sunday the 22nd, the mountain trials. The first of these will be held at Campbelltown, passing through Corkscrew. The one on Sunday 22 will end in Mount Lofty, with more than 3000m of unevenness in just 112km and final with 1300m at 7% and a maximum of 13%.
