The Movistar team will go all out this Wednesday at the Flecha Wallona, where they will have serious chances of victory in both the men’s and women’s races with Alejandro Valverdewho will seek his sixth title, and with Annemiek Van Vleutenwho will seek his first title at the Wall of Huy.
It will be a very special Walloon Arrow for Valverde, since the Murcian will race for the last time as a professional on the slopes of the Wall of Huy that have seen him triumph five times. For this last dance in the very tough finale of Huy Valverde, he will be supported by Enric Mas, Lluis Mas, Carlos Verona, Gregor Mühlberger, Gorka Izagirre and Oier Lazkano.
The women’s Movistar team will also present a powerful team with Annemiek Van Vleuten. The Dutchwoman, second in 2015 and 2019, has serious chances of victory after the withdrawal of Anna Van der Breggen, winner of the last seven editions. Van Vleuten will be accompanied in the team by Arlenis Sierra, Paula Patiño, Sara Martín, Katrine Aalerud and Jelena Eric in search of a new prestigious victory for the women’s Movistar before Valverde’s last dance at the Muro de Huy.
