Mourning in WWE: Billy Graham dies at 79

The world of WWE is dyed in mourning again after the news of the death of Billy Graham, one of the great stars of the competition, at 79 years of age.

According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, Graham was disconnected from the machine that kept him alive on Wednesday after battling serious health problems. in recent years and spend the last weeks of his life in the ICU of a hospital.

Graham was hospitalized last January due to an ear infection that spread to the skull and added to other ailments he already suffered such as acute kidney failure, congestive heart failure, diabetes and hearing loss. The fighter was disconnected from the machine this Wednesday despite the fact that at first his wife Valerie refused to allow this to happen, although she finally ended up agreeing.

Billy Graham, whose real name was Eldridge Wayne Coleman, entered the world of wrestling in 1969 after going through bodybuilding and in 1975 he joined WWE, where he won the world heavyweight championship in 1977 and where he would star in great duels with fighters of the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair or Jesse Ventura. A recognition that made Graham enter the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
