Motorola is dedicated to once again being a leading name in the market. After being the first to present a smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, now the goal is to have the highest resolution camera on the market.
Rumors spread exclusively by the publication TechnikNews affirm that Motorola will be the first to launch a smartphone with 200MP camera. A milestone that will leave Xiaomi relegated to the background.
Xiaomi appears as a comparison in this topic since it was the first to place a smartphone with a 108 MP sensor on the market. This is still the highest resolution available on the mobile market, but it will soon lose that status with the launch of Motorola’s next device.
Motorola Frontier will be the target to shoot with 200 MP camera
The model that this new camera should boast is, for now, the one known only as the Motorola Frontier. This will certainly be an internal designation, and should have another nomenclature as soon as it hits shelves around the world.
As expected, this equipment will be top of the range, however, the highlight will be its 200 MP primary photosensor. We are talking about the Samsung S5KHP1 sensor that the Korean company presented at the end of 2021.
The remaining photographic configuration of the Motorola Frontier includes the 50 MP Samsung S5KJN1SQ03 wide-angle sensor and a 12 MP Sony IMX663 telephoto lens. Up front, there will be a 60 MP OmniVision OV60A sensor.
The rest of the specifications of this Motorola Frontier include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. The screen will be a 6.67-inch pOLED, Full-HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
Although the size of its battery is not yet known, we already know what the respective charging speeds will be. Indeed, the Motorola Frontier will have fast cable charging at 125 W and 50 W in wireless mode.
