Motorola Moto G50 5G announced with competitive price and MediaTek SoC

Motorola has just presented a new Android smartphone whose price is below € 250 in the markets where it was launched now on Wednesday (25). It is the Motorola Moto G50 5G smartphone and it uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor.

For those looking for a new mid-range smartphone, the Moto G50 5G, if it reaches Europe and our market in Portugal, it can be a good buy. The new model improves on the Moto G50 model presented last March by Motorola.

The new smartphone is available in two color shades, gray and green.

The new Motorola model was launched today (25) in Australia, based on the use of MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor, as well as the triple main camera and, above all, the relatively low price for that market.

Motorola is currently owned by Lenovo and is well known in Brazil and other South America, as well as in the United States of America. At the same time, it has returned to the European market and, in particular, to Portugal.

The Moto G50 5G is the latest addition to Motorola’s portfolio

The Motorola Moto G50 5G smartphone has a triple main camera.

The phone features a 6.5-inch diagonal screen, IPS LCD technology, and HD + (720p) resolution with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The phone features rounded corners, mainly made of plastic with a smooth, glossy finish.

Its main camera is also featured with a triple setup. It consists of a 48MP main camera, aided by a 2MP sensor for depth, as well as another 2MP sensor for macro photography.

Smartphone uses SoC Dimensity 700 from MediaTek

The Dimensity 700 is a mid-range SoC from MediaTek.

The “heart” of this new Android smartphone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 700. It is a chip with support for mid-range fifth generation (5G) mobile networks. It has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

Users can also use a micro SD memory card if they need more space to store their files. To this is added a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged at 15 W of power.

We can also find Google’s Android 11 operating system, and Motorola’s My UX interface is applied to it. There’s even room for a fingerprint reader on the side, built into the power button, as well as an NFC connection and a 3.5mm audio port.

The Motorola Moto G50 5G costs $ 289, or about € 246. It is available in Australia, with no information on its availability in Europe. However, given Motorola’s expansion effort, it is likely to reach our market.
