It was already known that Motorola was developing a smartphone that could arrive with some higher specifications than its latest Edge X30 flagship model and now another source confirms that the brand will even go ahead with a new super model.

According to the information published so far, the terminal has the code name Frontier and the German media outlet WinFuture has revealed the first versions of the terminal.

As we can see in the image, the screen has a curved design with narrow bezels at the bottom and top, as well as a centrally located front camera. On the back panel, the triple camera setup plus LED flash is housed in a rectangular frame that stands out. It should be noted that these are the first versions of the equipment and that it may still undergo changes in the design now revealed.

What can we expect to see in the Motorola Frontier?

As for the specifications, the Motorola Frontier is expected to be equipped with a 6.7-inch screen with Full HD + resolution, support for HDR10 + and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

As already mentioned, the screen will be perforated to house a 60-megapixel camera, similar to its Edge X30 counterpart. In the rear camera settings, everything changes. The terminal can integrate the 200-megapixel Samsung S5KHP1 as the main sensor, which is complemented by a second 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a third 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 telephoto sensor.

It is also advanced that the Motorola Frontier has at the controls the new optimized version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

It will run Android 12 OS and be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 125W fast charging as well as support for 50W wireless charging.

Unfortunately, there is still no information on the release date of the terminal and if it will be available worldwide soon. But possibly only after Qualcomm’s announcement of its optimized chip will we be able to have more precise information about the availability of this terminal.

Will Xiaomi be able to launch the new version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 before Motorola this time?
