At the end of last year, Motorola officially introduced the new top-of-the-range Moto X40 to the Chinese market, which came equipped with the latest high-end processor from Qualcomm.

Rumors indicate that now the Lenovo-owned brand is preparing to launch this series in the global market. Most likely, the specifications will be the same, but the trade designation will be different, following the Edge nomenclature.

More recent news realize that there will be a difference in relation to the previous model. At least on the more advanced Edge 40 Pro model. This flagship will arrive in Europe with a price of 899 euros.

What is the difference? Well, this year the price has suffered inflation and this smartphone comes with a starting price of more than 100 euros.

If this information is confirmed and despite the price increase, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will be more affordable than its rival Xiaomi 13 Pro, which in Portugal costs 1,399.99 euros, but which includes the Mi Watch smartwatch offer.

Expected specs on Motorola Edge 40 Pro

As we have already mentioned, the more advanced Edge 40 pro model is expected to arrive in Europe with the same specifications as the Chinese variant. Thus, it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that will work together with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage capacity.

The pOLED screen with curved lines will be 6.67 inches and will offer a Full FD+ resolution and a very high refresh rate of 165 Hz. Support for the DCI-P3 color gamut, for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ has been added.
