Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has hit the shelves, and fans are diving back into the world of Cyrodiil. Ted Litchfield, Associate Editor at PC Gamer, dug into the game’s voice cast and made an interesting discovery. Many of the new voice actors in the remastered version have a familiar background – they’ve previously voiced characters in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Voice Actors Make a Comeback
A look at the game’s credits and IMDb page reveals that several voice actors from Skyrim reprised their roles in Oblivion Remastered. John Curry, who voiced various NPCs in Skyrim, lends his voice to Imperial soldiers in the remastered game. André Sogliuzzo, known for voicing Khajiit characters in Skyrim, returns to voice Khajiit again in Oblivion Remastered. Other returning voice actors include:
- Tim Blaney, who voiced Argonian characters in both games
- Jason Marsden, who voiced Wood Elf characters in both games
- Noah Nelson, who voiced Orc characters in both games
- Michael Gough, who voiced Nord characters in both games
- Renee Victor, who voiced an Argonian in Skyrim and a Khajiit in Oblivion Remastered
- Keith Szarabajka, who voiced Dark Elf characters in both games and Joshua Graham in Fallout: New Vegas
- Ellen Dubin, who voiced Nord and Imperial characters in Skyrim and Imperial soldiers in Oblivion Remastered
- Cindy Robinson, who voiced Astrid from the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim and a Dark Elf in Oblivion Remastered
While some characters received new voice actors, many main characters retained their original voices. Uriel Septim VII (Patrick Stewart), Martin Septim (Sean Bean), Lucien Lachance (Wes Johnson), and Jauffre (Ralph Cosham) are among those who kept their original voices.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Game Pass. Fans of the series can experience the classic game with updated graphics and some familiar voices from Skyrim.
