Moscow accuses Kiev of new attacks on the strategic Crimean bridge

Russia has accused Ukraine of fresh attacks on the strategic Crimean bridge, the longest in Europe. while continuing its offensive in the east of the neighboring country and defensive actions in the south, where Kiev forces are advancing.

“We condemn these terrorist attacks in the strongest possible terms. The Crimean bridge is a purely civilian infrastructure object,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement.

According to Zakharova Kiev’s “barbaric actions” have “no justification” and “will not go unanswered.”

The Russian Defense Ministry and the Crimean authorities had previously reported at least two attacks with S-200 missiles against the bridge of the annexed peninsula all day today.

The attacks forced Russian authorities to halt traffic on the bridge twice in one day, causing long traffic jams near infrastructure access points.
