According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the 36-year-old arrested tried to kill the victim, who lived with him at a construction site, with a drill causing neck injuries.

The suspected terrorist tried to escape after the attempted murder before being detained by police at the scene.

The note added that the police, after searching the arrested person’s room, confiscated knives, a handmade rifle, publications with extremist content, an IS flag, computer equipment and photo equipment.
