Portuguese football club Moreirense faces a critical shortage of attacking wingers due to a recent spate of injuries, complicating preparations for their upcoming league fixture against Arouca. Coach Vasco Botelho da Costa is grappling with significantly depleted options on the flanks.
Adding to existing injury concerns, Cédric Teguia and Jorquera both reported complaints during the team’s most recent training session. Both players are now expected to miss the upcoming match. Teguia had been filling in for Kiko Bondoso, who is already unavailable.
This leaves Landerson as the only natural winger currently fit for selection.
To address the shortage, Moreirense’s coach has previously deployed full-back Diogo Travassos in an attacking wide role. Midfielder Benny is also considered a potential makeshift option for a wing position.
