More than 100 supermarkets affiliated with the Dominican Federation of Merchants (FDC) join the program "Purchase at the Inespre Price in the Supermarket"through which they will market products from the basic basket at low costs every Thursday.
For these purposes, an agreement was signed between the Minister of the General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (PROPEEP), José Leonel Cabrera (Neney); the director of the Price Stabilization Institute (INESPRE), Iván Hernández Guzmán and the president of the Dominican Federation of Merchants (FDC), Iván García.
Neney Cabrera, director of Propeep, said that by order of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, they have expanded the program by affiliating new businesses, so that every Thursday more Dominicans can purchase quality food at affordable prices.
While Iván Hernández Guzmán, director of Inespre, reported that these measures arranged by the Government are intended to protect and benefit the population, facilitating access to products of the basic basket at low costs, but also guaranteeing the profitability of affiliated supermarkets. to the program.
On his side, Iván García, president of the Dominican Federation of Merchants, thanked the initiative to include a large part of the federation’s member supermarkets in the program.
The business leader indicated that it is extremely important that the program be extended nationwide so that it has greater coverage.
Among the products that will be sold at Inespre prices are select rice, pinto beans, oil, egg cartons, chicken, bananas, among others.
