Mora Scores for Portugal, Eyes More Goals for Club and Country

The young guns for the national team showed their class again. They took down Bulgaria 3-0 in another qualifying match for the UEFA European Championship in 2027. It wasn’t an easy start though, with the scoreboard stuck at zero for both sides when the referee blew for halftime. The team had to dig deep to find their rhythm.

Rodrigo Mora, a name you’ll be hearing often, finally broke the deadlock. His goal truly opened things up for the squad. He spoke after the match, explaining their mindset. “We were tied at halftime, but this team never gives up,” he said. “My goal changed the game, and we managed to score two more after that.” Mora also shared a little secret about the opener: “We needed a bit more pace, and that’s how the goal came.” His ambition shines bright; he hopes to keep finding the net, not just for the national team, but for FC Porto too.

Another rising star, Tiago Parente, also found the back of the net for the first time with the national team, playing a standout game. He added the second goal, which he felt was crucial. “That second goal really helped us relax and settle down,” Parente mentioned. He explained the team’s strategy: “We always try to get as many players as possible into scoring positions.” He highlighted the importance of the 2-0 play, noting how having two defenders in the box at that moment was key. Looking ahead to their next opponent, Gibraltar, Parente offered a wise reminder: “There are no easy games.”
