Blackberry is a town from La Mancha with 9,972 inhabitants located in the Toledo province, just 30 kilometers from the Imperial City and 103 from Madrid. The morachos and morachas live in a good part of their magnificent production of olive oilof such quality that it does not have to envy much to that of Jaén and Córdoba, the Champions in the matter. In fact, Mora is the largest producer of olive oil in Castilla-La Mancha. Taking advantage of the closing of the olive harvest and in honor of the ‘liquid gold’, the last weekend of April is celebrated the ‘Olive Festival’since 1957, that brings together more than 30,000 tourists in Mora, with a spectacular parade of floats that has awarded it the title of Fiesta of National Tourist Interest. The mayor of the town proudly boasts of all this, Emilio Bravo, who has just completed his fourth consecutive term in the consistory with an absolute majority. “Here people and daily work are voted for, so it doesn’t hurt me to proudly declare that I am a Madridista”.
Logically, the mayor was at the presidential table at the anniversary dinner of the Los Morachos Madridista Supporters Club, chaired with art, elegance and good work by Pablo López de Gracia. A good man and a Real Madrid fan. Mora’s meringues enjoyed the evening and toasted the three titles won this season (Club World Cup, European Super Cup and Copa del Rey) and for the signings, especially that of Bellingham. At dinner we saw the representatives of the clubs ‘El Botijo’ from Ocaña, ‘La Muralla Blanca’ from Yepes, ‘La Picota’ from Fuensalida, ‘Ciudad Imperial’ from Toledo, ‘Fuente El Caño’ from Bargas and ‘El 12 Blanco’, also from Fuensalida. Only Santiago Fernández de Valdemoro was missing (he was on a trip) and the teacher Eugenio de Mora, who had a training session with future bullfighters and who is a declared Viking. Mora is a Real Madrid fan.
