/Warning: Spoilers ahead for Moon Knight Season 1/
He was part of the second round of series MarvelDisney+ aired during phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Moon Knight introduced the character of Marc Spector, a mercenary victim of dissociative identity disorder. During his adventure, he crossed swords with the villain Arthur Harrow while trying to get rid of the grip of the Egyptian God who gave him his costume, namely Konshu. A first season which will have ended with the appearance of Jake Lockleythird identity of Mark. The latter runs in a limo Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) and thus completes his revenge. The final climax clearly opens on a season 2. Indeed, if Marc Spector and Steven Grant (the two entities cohabiting in the same body)choose not to grant asylum to Konshuit is Jake Lockley which continues the adventure of the mother character in Moon Knight.
Everyone seems determined to continue the project, especially Oscar Isaac, the interpreter of the main character, who already wants to re-enlist. Only, the screenwriter of the series had already said it: we have to find the right formula for the second part of the show with a story that really makes viewers want to watch the sequel. Near The Playlist, Jeremy Slater was not resolutely optimistic about the feasibility of a season 2:

“Honestly, I have no idea. I had no conversation with Marvel. I think a lot of those decisions will ultimately be in Kevin Feige’s hands because he’s the one with the master plan. And of course, Oscar Isaac, because he didn’t sign for the kind of traditional seven-movie deal or anything that other actors signed. Oscar has the ability to do as much or as little Moon Knight as he wants. I think he had a great time playing the character, and I think he really enjoyed the process and is glad he did it. But I also think he’s not a guy who’s going to rush out and release a sequel just because the first one was popular. »
Jeremy Slater went one step further by assuring that Moon Knight mainly depended on Oscar Isaac and that the hero could not endure without him. Perhaps his future will be at the heart of Disney’s announcements at Comic-Con San Diego 2022 in late July and D23 in September.
