Monzón and Solans shine on the first day in the Canary Islands

Luis Monzon Y Nil Solans have been the main Spanish protagonists on the first day of the Rally Canary Islands. The local idol set the fastest time in qualifying, and the former junior world and WRC3 champion was third in the urban super special stage that opened the test in Las Palmas.

The first surprise of the day was given by Monzón, who at 56 years old had no qualms about winning the qualifying section, beating all the figures of the European Championship.
