Formula 1 will not be broadcast on free TV in the 2023 season either. After more than 30 years, RTL has decided not to acquire the TV rights anymore due to the high costs. Until 2022, the private broadcaster, in cooperation with the pay-TV broadcaster Sky, still showed four races on free TV, but these will also be completely eliminated for the 2023 season. These are now being streamed by Sky on its own YouTube channel.
From this season onwards, all official F1 broadcasts in Germany can only be viewed via Sky. However, if you use a VPN, you can still enjoy Formula 1 effectively for free.

The Formula 1 race weekend in Monza/Italy will take place from September 1st to 3rd, 2023.
The training sessions will be broadcast on Sky(DE) and ORF 1(AT). Qualifying on Saturday from 4 p.m. on Sky(DE), ORF 1(AT) and SRF 2(CH).
The Race on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, at 3:00 p.m broadcast on Sky(DE), ORF 1(AT) and SRF Info(CH).

Formula 1: 2023 racing calendar
The 2023 Formula 1 season consists of 23 races. A race weekend usually consists of three training sessions, qualifying and the final race or, at six GPs, training sessions, sprint shootout, qualifying and the race.
Note: RTL no longer broadcasts races. For training sessions, qualification and races, you have to use the VPN option or the pay TV channel Sky. You can easily watch the races via VPN on the Swiss channel SRF and the Austrian channels ServusTV and ORF (not Servus TV Germany!), which split the races among themselves.
