The case has been assigned to Alicia Ghione, the prosecutor in charge of sexual crimes, who is currently awaiting the results of a forensic report to determine the next course of action.
The victim, who is homeless, underwent a medical examination on the same day, which will be crucial in confirming or ruling out the alleged assault. According to initial reports, the woman rushed to the French embassy, located at the intersection of Andes and Uruguay avenues, desperately seeking help. It was there that she shared her harrowing account of being threatened with a knife by an individual who forced her into an abandoned van, where the alleged rape occurred.
The incident came to light when the woman, clearly distraught, appeared at the embassy, prompting authorities to launch an investigation. The van in question was found parked just a few blocks away, and an initial inspection uncovered a knife, an empty soda bottle, and a pair of glasses inside.
