Details of the Shooting Incident

The deadly shooting took place on February 3, resulting in the death of the 13-year-old victim and leaving five other children and adolescents injured. The victims, aged between 10 and 18 years old, were all caught in the violent attack. One of the injured victims remains in critical condition in the ICU of Pereira Rossell hospital.

Police Efforts and Arrests

During the raids on Tuesday, police successfully seized one of the motorcycles used in the crime. Minister of the Interior, Nicolás Martinelli, confirmed this development and reassured the public that the investigation is ongoing. He emphasized, “The investigation is ongoing and the police will not rest until they find all those responsible and clarify this crime.”

Growing Tensions in the Neighborhood

The February 3 shooting has intensified violence in the Plácido Ellauri neighborhood. Local residents attribute the rising tensions to the identity of the victim, who was the son of “Tato” Bartolo, a known criminal gang leader in the area. This connection has led to fears that the incident may be linked to gang-related violence.

Continued Investigation and Public Concern

The Homicide Department, supported by the Republican Guard, has been actively working on the case. Authorities are determined to bring all those responsible for the tragic event to justice. Despite the ongoing investigation, the neighborhood continues to feel the effects of the violence, with residents expressing concern for their safety.
