Monteiro and native González repeat Masters titles in table tennis

The Brazilian Rafael Monteiro and the captain Wilson González once again repeated as Masters monarchs of the International Rolling Table Tennis Classic, held this weekend at the Gran Arena del Cibao, which registered a record participation of more than 200 players.

Monteiro, representing the group of Haitian players that participated in the traditional annual competition, won his second championship in the Master A division, while González, billed his third in the second Master division, the B.

To reach the title, Monteiro beat Vladimir Inoa from Santiago in the final, while Miguel Niña, also local, finished third.

González, on the other hand, returned to dominate one of his main adversaries of all time, Evelio Lozano from Santiago. Ramón Ramos registered third.

The competition was endorsed by the Dominican Table Tennis Federation (Fedoteme), chaired by Dr. Daniel Landrón, and covered the entire weekend.

New monarch

Félix Santana, from Santiago, was the main surprise of the event organized by the former national champion Rolling Fermín, when he managed to win the Master C, one of the most competitive and with the largest number of participants.

Santana beat Miami-based Santiago, Alejandro Cordero, while Enrique Rosario, from Salcedo, finished third.

The new installment of the now traditional annual test was dedicated to the eight-time national champion Brígida Pérez
