Money laundering case: Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandes is a defendant in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving fraudster Sukesh Chandra. The actress has appealed to the court to allow her to travel abroad.

In the charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on August 17, Jacqueline Fernandes was also charged in the case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Jacqueline was questioned several times by the DE on this matter. Nora Fatehi’s name is also linked to the case.

What are the accusations against Jacqueline Fernandes?
According to ED, Bollywood actresses Jacqueline Fernandes and Nora Fatehi are alleged to have taken expensive cars and many other valuable gifts from con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Although Jacqueline had said that she has been framed in this case. At the same time, Jacqueline had said that Nora had received gifts from Sukesh. After this Nora Fatehi filed a defamation lawsuit against Jacqueline. Nora has accused Jacqueline of trying to ruin her career for her own benefit. Nora also claimed that she doesn’t know Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She had said that due to the media trial of her, her reputation has suffered a lot. Nora had held Jacqueline responsible for all of this at her request.

However, on behalf of Jacqueline, her lawyer Prashant denied all of Nora’s allegations in a conversation with Hindustan. Times pushed back, saying that Jacqueline never publicly said anything against Nora, in which case, a defamation case could not be made.
