When an announcement video came out, Kartik was seen singing a new version of “Tu Meri Zindagi Hai.” This song is from the original 1990 ‘Aashiqui’ film.
In a recent interview with News18, Mohit Suri admitted he’s not fully caught up on the ‘Aashiqui 3’ situation. He said, “I don’t know what’s happening there. I was very busy with ‘Saiyaara’. I wish them all the best and praise their effort. But honestly, I don’t know if ‘Aashiqui 3’ is being made or not.” Suri also mentioned that T-Series approached him to direct the Kartik Aaryan film, but he couldn’t take it on. Later, Anurag Basu stepped in. Suri shared that Basu told him he received the chance to make the sequel and had a story in mind.

He commented on the relationship between Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt, saying, “Now, what is the equation between Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt? I don’t know. Some reports suggest that Anurag Basu’s ‘Aashiqui 3’ with Kartik Aaryan might face delays. It was rumored that this was to avoid comparisons with ‘Saiyaara’.
