Actress and model Poonam Pandey could be the face of the government’s campaign against cervical cancer. For the last few days, Poonam Pandey has been in the headlines for faking her death. According to PTI news, Poonam Pandey and her team are in talks with the Union Health Ministry. Poonam Pandey can become a brand ambassador for the government’s ongoing awareness program on cervical cancer.
In fact, earlier this month, Poonam Pandey’s PR team had shared false news about the actress’ death via her official Instagram account. The post said the actress died of cervical cancer. The news of the actress’s sudden death due to illness surprised everyone. But the very next day, it turned out that this news was fake and Poonam had carried out this trick to raise awareness about cervical cancer.
On February 3, Poonam Pandey posted a video and shared that she was alive. She said, “I feel compelled to do this.” I’m sharing some important things with you all, I’m here, alive. Cervical cancer didn’t kill me, but it has taken the lives of thousands of women because of a lack of information about how to manage this disease.
Poonam further said: “Unlike other types of cancer, cervical cancer can be prevented.” Importantly, there is an HPV vaccine and early detection tests for it. We have the tools to ensure that no one dies from this disease. Poonam said she faked her death to make people aware about cervical cancer.
Poonam Pandey is a model and actress by profession. He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film Nasha. She has appeared in many serials and Telugu films. Furthermore, Poonam also became the Kingfisher Calendar Girl in 2011.
