Modi government has made bulldozer politics a new weapon against Muslims

Under the guise of anti-terrorist operations in Modi Raj, serious human rights violations are on the rise and Modi government has made bulldozer politics a new weapon against Muslims.

According to foreign media reports, the Modi government has adopted the demolition of houses as a new tactic to suppress the freedom spirit of Kashmiris. More than 100,000 properties have been destroyed and burnt in Kashmir so far. During the last four years, more than 2500 houses and shops were set on fire.

In 1993, the Indian Army burnt 300 shops and 100 houses in Sopore in retaliation. During the military operation in 2020, Indian forces burnt 114 houses. On January 4, 2022, Hurriyat leader Shabbir Shah’s house in Srinagar was illegally occupied.

Amnesty International has also described the actions of the Modi government as the most serious violation of human rights and in its message has demanded the global companies that manufacture bulldozers to stop buying and selling from India.

Another British newspaper, The Guardian, has also termed the demolition of properties as a cynical attempt by the Modi government to change the population ratio in Kashmir.
