Xiaomi officially unveiled the latest version of its interface on December 28, 2021. Then, from the hand of Lei Jun, we would also meet the new generation of high-end smartphones, the Xiaomi 12 that will soon arrive in Europe.
Meanwhile, the Chinese manufacturer has redoubled its efforts with the update of its mobile devices, now preparing Android 12, protected by MIUI 13, to arrive soon with more devices. By the way, this great update will arrive during the month of January to a total of 19 Xiaomi smartphones.
It should be noted, however, that this update, while global, will begin in China, so not all regions will receive the news at the same time.

MIUI 13 update will bring Android 12 to Xiaomi smartphones
We also highlight that some of the smartphones listed above will receive MIUI 13 based on Android 11 and not the latest version – Android 12. This is a common practice with the manufacturer that adapts its interface to the technical characteristics of each mobile device. So for older models, we will have a MIUI 13 version compatible with Android 11.
Likewise, it should be noted that these are the mobile devices that will receive the update during the first quarter of 2022, Q1 of this year. That said, although the global update starts in January, it may be postponed until the end of March.
Also, some of these devices listed above have different names, but they are the same model. This is because Xiaomi launches the same phone with different nomenclatures in different markets.
Currently, the manufacturer has a beta test program for MIUI 13 that includes 33 devices. However, access to this program is limited to devices in use in China.
In short, scheduled to start in January, the distribution of the global MIUI 13 will be gradual and phased. Therefore, some users whose devices are included in this first phase or batch may still have to wait a little longer.
