Miss Universe 2025: Fatima Bosch Triumphs After ‘Stupid’ Insult Controversy

Fatima Bosch, Miss Mexico, was crowned Miss Universe 2025 on November 21 in Bangkok. The 25-year-old model captured global attention with her poise and determination. Her victory quickly made her name trend across social media platforms.

Bosch was born on May 19, 2000, in Teapa, Tabasco, Mexico. Her parents are Bernardo Bosch Hernandez and Vanessa Fernandez Balboa. She also has a brother named Bernardo Bosch.

Her early education included high school at Colegio Arji. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, studying there from 2021 to 2024.

Before her Miss Universe triumph, Bosch secured other significant titles. She first won ‘Flor Tabasco’ in 2018. She then earned the Miss Universe Mexico 2025 title, which led her to the international stage.

Bosch’s path to the crown was notably marked by a public controversy. Prior to the Miss Universe 2025 competition, she faced a challenging encounter.

Reports indicate she was subjected to harsh questioning by Nawarat Itsaragrisil. Itsaragrisil, a director for Miss Grand International and a Miss Universe organizer, allegedly called Bosch “stupid” during their interaction.

Bosch maintained her composure, calmly and firmly stating her case. When the director attempted to call security and cut her off, Bosch chose to leave the hall.

The entire exchange was filmed and rapidly spread across social media platforms. This incident significantly boosted Bosch’s popularity, turning her into a widely celebrated figure online.
