Miravia, an online lifestyle platform, has introduced a new image search feature that lets users find products using photos or screenshots. This innovation responds to the growing visual nature of digital consumer behavior, aiming to provide a smoother and faster shopping experience.
The feature is available only on Miravia’s mobile app and allows users to upload images from their gallery or take new ones. The platform then identifies the product in the image, offering exact or similar matches from its catalog.
Since its launch, the feature has shown interesting usage patterns:
- 79% of images used for searches come from screenshots, often taken from social media like Instagram or TikTok.
- Top categories searched by image are Home and Sports (36%), Fashion (34%), and Beauty and Health (20%).
Miravia is committed to technological innovation in e-commerce. The new image search feature builds on the platform’s existing use of AI. For example, Miravia’s search engine already uses AI to recommend products and tailor search results to individual users’ preferences and browsing history.
Miravia’s AI Applications
The platform’s AI capabilities extend beyond search. Miravia uses AI to help brands and sellers automate product listing creation and predict the most suitable category for their products. This streamlines their processes and reduces resource waste.
Miravia also leverages AI in cybersecurity. The company has developed tools that integrate AI to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in areas like vulnerability detection, web navigation categorization, and early incident identification. This multi-faceted approach to AI adoption positions Miravia at the forefront of e-commerce innovation.
