The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says it is ready to host Umrah pilgrims in accordance with the quota set before the global epidemic of Corona.
According to Al Arabiya News “The Saudi government has taken all necessary steps to host the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims,” Dr. Amr al-Madah, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, told Arab Daily. There was no difficulty in doing so.
The Ministry of Hajj is capable of handling Umrah pilgrims according to the quota allocated for each country and we will not face any difficulty if the situation before Karuna is restored.
Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj’s rites application was very successful during the recent Hajj. It contains complete information about the identity of the pilgrims, health and other facilities. With the help of this application, the pilgrims were kept informed about the time and place of departure from the residence while the pilgrims could also select their food menu on the application.
The special feature of the app was that the authorities could provide timely alerts in case of any change.
In the next phase, the ministry will also provide the Shayar Smart Card app to Umrah pilgrims, which they will be able to use as a digital identity.
Note that the Shayar app is not available for visitors coming with a visa from Umrah service companies.
